A Managing General Agent (MGA) provides specialized expertise in a specific, niche area of business to assess and find insurance for hard to place risks. The MGA has become a relied-upon distribution channel for insurers of all types. As an MGA, our focus is on risks in motor cargo transport, casualty, directors & officers, errors & omissions, medical malpractice and stand alone earthquake. Our markets are expanding and we look at all risks.

We are licensed in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba and Ontario. Expansion across Canada is in the works.

PMU has contracts in place that can entertain risks with exposures in the USA, Europe, Middle East, South America and in Asia.

  • For most CGL/Pollution & Medical Malpractice based risks, we can offer primary limits of $5 million
  • For D/O and E/O we can offer Primary limits of $5 million
  • For Host Liquor Liability – $2 million
  • For Excess & Umbrella – we can go as high as $100 million
