Building something? We’ve got you covered!
Construction insurance is essential for protecting projects from the unique exposures they face, from worksite hazards and fire damage to equipment breakdown and liability for damage to neighbouring properties. At PMU Specialty, we offer tailored construction insurance solutions that cover these exposures and more, ensuring your project is protected from start to finish.
Project-Specific Coverages
We cover your project from the time you start, to the time you turn over the keys to the owner. We also have solutions for the planning stages, including professional cover for architect’s and engineer’s professional insurance, and for your contractor’s equipment and tools.
Whether your project is a small renovation to a home, a single house build, a townhouse development, an apartment building, or a bridge, PMU Specialty has the right insurance to protect you now, and after the project is finished. PMU Specialty underwriters have decades of experience working on projects small and large, simple and complex. If you’re building something, we can help! We offer:
- Builders’ Risk: coverage for damage to the project itself during its construction
- Equipment Breakdown: breakdown of equipment you’ve installed, including during testing (hot or cold) and commissioning
- Wrap-Up Liability: protects against claims for injuries to people or damage to neighbouring properties, and covers everyone who works on the project, and the project owner.

- Contractor’s Equipment: protects your equipment and machinery from loss or damage while being used off-site.
