Mashood’s journey in insurance started in Ontario, where he graduated from York University in 1997 with a political science degree. A job at HB Insurance during his final year quickly blossomed into a lifelong passion. After several years at Co-operators and TD Meloche Monnex, Mashood earned his Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation in 2003, followed by the Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) in 2007.

His career has been a masterclass in expertise and leadership, with key roles at Aviva, Premium Marine, and Southwest Group. Before joining PMU Specialty, Mashood served as VP of BC at TCIM, and VP of Western Canada at Agile.
